How We Support You
Caregiver involvement is crucial during ABA therapy, not only does it directly benefit your child, it’s also often required by insurance companies in order to continue therapy. While requirements differ by insurance provider, most require at least one hour of caregiver education sessions per month. Sessions are led by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and can take place with or without your child present—for example, a one-hour session may include 30 minutes with your child and 30 minutes without—to best support your therapy goals.
Why It Matters
These sessions are an ideal opportunity to address behaviors that may be occurring at home or at school but aren’t seen during therapy at the center. If a behavior arises outside of sessions, we ask caregivers to document what happened before and after it occurred. Together, we develop a plan to address and reduce challenging behaviors while supporting functional communication. By learning what to do when the behavior technician is not present, caregivers are equipped with the tools to provide consistency, guidance, and support, helping your child thrive both at home and in the community.
