Meeting Milestones - Little Spurs Autism Centers

One of the most remarkable aspects of our Autism Therapy Centers San Antonio at Little Spurs Autism Centers is that our team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and therapists work with parents and caregivers to create a personalized treatment plan based on the child’s current abilities, needs, and goals. Here is how we help:

  • Inital Assessment: At our centers, one of the first visits you will have with your child’s BCBA is an initial assessment. During this time, they will conduct an assessment to identify a child’s strengths, and any challenges that may be present around social skills, communication, and/or behavior management.
  • Customized Goals: From there, the treatment plan is tailored to the child’s specific needs. This ensures that therapy is meaningful and impactful for each and every child in our care!
  • Adaptation: As we all know, children grow and develop at their own pace. We believe that their therapy should grow with them. This ensures that therapy remains relevant and supportive to them at every stage. For younger children, therapy may focus on foundational skills such as following instructions and basic communication and social skills. For older children or teens, ABA may involve vocational skills, independent living skills, and preparing for adulthood.
  • Data-Driven Adjustments: We consistently rely on data collected during therapy sessions to measure progress toward current goals and modify strategies as needed. If a particular strategy is not yielding results, we can adjust the approach. Collecting data is also helpful in highlighting an individual’s achievements and growth.

Our Autism Therapy Centers San Antonio believe in celebrating success, every milestone, and championing them to reach their full potential at every stage of life. If you are curious about how ABA therapy can help your child meet their goals, reach out to our team!
